| SAC HALL OF FAME October 30, 2007 SAC athletics receives questions all the time. We love the feedback about the site, 99% is totally positive. But yesterday we received a site idea that really got our attention. A reader from Lawrence suggested that we start a SAC Hall of Fame. After talking with a few Athletic Directors, they agree with us that it would be huge undertaking to start a true SAC Hall of Fame. However, we at SAC Athletics are true sports historians and love records and the history of each school as well as the history of one of the best athletic conferences in the state of Michigan. So here is what we will attempt to do. All of our schools have a rich sports history. Let SAC Athletics know who your state champions are, team, individuals, and first team All State. Here are the qualifications to be listed in the SAC Champions section: • State Team Champions • Individual State Champions • First Team All State If your student-athlete or team obtained All State status while the school was not in the SAC, we don’t care. In Fennville we have Richie Jordan who graduated before the SAC was formed but we are still proud of his unbelievable accomplishments. Bangor is equally proud of their 1960 State Championship in Basketball, as well as Lawton is with their Cross Country teams in the 60’s. We will list all current SAC school’s state accomplishments! Does your school have a hall of fame? Let us know who is in your “Hall of Fame”, with the bio that is on their plaque. We will set up a section so that all site visitors can share in your schools sports history. SAC ALL STATE PAGE |
