Kati Jennings - Watervliet
Kati Jennings, Watervliet’s multi-sport student athlete, is the daughter
of Tesi and Kevin Jennings. Jennings carries a 3.1 GPA at Watervliet
while working at Harding’s in Coloma, in between playing four sports.
If that’s not enough to keep her busy, Kati was a top 5 finalist for Miss
Watervliet in 2008.
Watervliet’s Athletic Director, Ken Dietz said of Kati, “She gives
everything of herself no matter what she is doing”. Jennings was
involved with volleyball in the fall where she played the back row,
helping the Lady Panthers to a SAC South title. She earned 2nd
team All SAC South after her senior season.
As the point guard in basketball, she is a part of a very successful
program where she has helped the Lady Panthers to a SAC Title and
gained SAC honorable mention after her junior season. Spring time
is a busy time for Jennings; she runs sprints for the track team and
plays shortstop on the softball team. In softball, Jennings has earned
2nd team All SAC South honors.
After graduation from Watervliet in the spring, Kati would like to
continue her studies at KVCC to pursue a career as a surgical
nurse. Hopefully, Jennings will get the opportunity to play softball at
the next level as well.
What keeps her going with all that she does? Jennings adds, “You
only have one shot in high school, so why not give it your all”? With a
positive attitude like this, Kati Jennings has a great shot at being very
